Three days shy of exactly one year ago, I started this blog with the intent of commenting on and cataloging media of all forms and origins. I have since finished my senior thesis on new media and neighborhoods, graduated from college, and moved to the West Village. Now I work @radical.media, which I suppose is only fitting.
Countless blogging opportunities have passed while Media Serial lay dormant. Now that I’m settled in at Radical, I’m ready to resurrect Media Serial and radicalize it.

Welcome to my very first blog. I suppose it was only a matter of time; I am, after all, writing my thesis on media and journalism (and a blog in particular). But that’s not really what this is about. Let’s face it: blogging is just so cool right now.
In this blog, I will share my musings on and experimentations with various forms of media old and new, from artistic endeavors to middle-of-the-night epiphanies, from honest reviews to reflections on recent readings or lectures, from self-indulgent dork-fests to intriguing/educational/entertaining links. Kid tested, mother approved, this media serial will snap, crackle and pop until you go coo-coo. (Had to get that out of my system)
I have a lot of catching up to do because, like so many others these day, I use, think about, and manipulate media all the time. Many of my first posts will likely draw from old material, just as a way of indexing some of the things I have already thought about or done vis-à-vis media, but not to worry: this will be a site for creating as well as cataloguing.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I will.
